Job summary

Jobtailor in Ohio is seeking an experienced Heavy Equipment Service Technician to diagnose, repair and maintain heavy equipment at customer sites. You will troubleshoot mechanical, electrical and hydraulic issues and plan effective travel schedules.

Qualifications

• Experience working on heavy equipment.
• Experience with mechanical, electrical and hydraulic equipment.
• Experience with diesel engines.
• 5+ years of heavy equipment service experience preferred.
• Ability to pass a background check, drug screen, MVR and physical.
• Experience working with customers.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain heavy equipment.
• Troubleshoot mechanical issues and perform inspections.
• Complete necessary repairs or part replacements.
• Ensure equipment is functioning optimally to minimize downtime.
• Plan effective work and travel schedule considering customer need.
• Diagnose malfunctions and keep machines in operating condition.
• Provide tools and arrange for facilities to perform repair work.
• Inspect, operate, and test machines upon delivery and after repairs.
• Report to Service Supervisor about work done and customer details.
• Increase technical skills through training and literature.
• Maintain company image by keeping personal appearance and service truck in order.
• Troubleshoot recurring or unusual problems.
• Train or supervise new servicemen on repair jobs.
