Job summary

MacAllister Machinery Co Inc. is seeking a skilled technician to perform mechanical repairs and preventive maintenance on rental equipment, primarily at customer job sites with occasional shop work.

The role requires at least 5 years of related technician experience, a valid driver’s license, and strong knowledge of hydraulics, powertrain, and electrical systems. CDL and shop tools are preferred, with safety and quality at the forefront.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 5+ years of technician experience in a related role.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Preferred: vocational/technical certificate and Class B CDL.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced troubleshooting and diagnosing of equipment malfunctions at job sites.
• Cleans, repairs, reconditions, and maintains equipment to meet company standards.
• Prepares inspection and appraisal reports.
• Understand operation, function, specs, capabilities, and controls of rental equipment.
• Complete all repair documents accurately and timely.
• Follow directions from manager/lead mechanic on repairs and service calls.
• Adhere to safety rules and maintain clean work area.
