Job summary

MacAllister Machinery seeks a Technician - Rental Field Preventive Maintenance to perform scheduled maintenance on rental equipment in the field, including MEWP inspections. The role requires strong mechanical skills and the ability to work overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED or equivalent work experience.
• 2+ years of mechanical experience with construction equipment; hydraulics, power train and electrical systems.
• Valid driver's license and ability to obtain CDL Class A or B with air brake endorsement.
• Preferred: 4+ years' experience with construction equipment and CDL with air brake.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine scheduled services for rental equipment fleet in the field.
• Perform annual inspections for Mobile Equipment Work Platforms (MEWP).
• Completes all required reporting for service time in an accurate and efficient manner; this includes writing service reports, properly allocating time to each job, and tracking parts charged and parts returned.
• Maintain customer satisfaction by understanding customer needs and ensuring deadlines are met safely, timely, and accurately as possible.
• Ensure all documentation is completed accurately and efficiently; work orders, service reports, allocation of time, and tracking parts.
• Complete all scheduled repairs in a safe and efficient manner.
• Maintains company issued equipment and tools, keeping them in good working orders.
