Job summary

Accelera seeks a Mobile Heavy Equipment Technician to ensure the operational readiness and safety of truck-mounted lifting systems in demanding field environments. • Minimum 3 years of hands-on heavy equipment maintenance experience with cranes or forklifts.
• Strong hydraulic, electrical diagnostic, and mechanical repair skills.
• Ability to lift 75+ lbs and work in outdoor conditions; CDL or ability to obtain CDL within 60 days.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and resolve complex mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical failures on articulating cranes, conveyors, and lift equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance and annual DOT safety inspections to keep fleet compliant.
• Provide rapid on-site troubleshooting to restore equipment functionality.
• Document service outcomes clearly for fleet managers including parts and labor.
• Maintain safety standards while managing company vehicle and toolset.
• Collaborate with site supervisors to meet state and federal safety benchmarks.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and resolve complex mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical failures in articulating cranes, conveyors, and heavy-duty lift equipment.
• Execute comprehensive preventive maintenance programs and conduct annual DOT safety inspections to maintain fleet compliance.
• Provide rapid-response troubleshooting for emergency service calls to restore equipment functionality on-site.
• Translate technical findings into clear, actionable reports for fleet managers, including parts procurement and labor documentation.
• Maintain high standards of safety and operational efficiency while managing a company-provided service vehicle and specialized toolset.
• Collaborate with site supervisors to ensure all repairs meet rigorous state and federal safety benchmarks.

Qualifications

Required Skills

• Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in heavy equipment maintenance, specifically with cranes or industrial forklifts.
• Advanced proficiency in hydraulic systems, electrical diagnostics, and heavy-duty mechanical repair.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting 75+ lbs and working in varied outdoor weather conditions.
• Valid CDL or the ability to obtain one within 60 days of hire.
• Strong technical communication skills with the ability to document service outcomes accurately.

Preferred Skills

• Prior experience with welding and structural metal repair.
