Job summary

MOHR Talent is seeking a Mobile Heavy Equipment Mechanic to support multiple facilities in the Cincinnati/Middletown area. The role involves traveling between locations for preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on a diverse fleet of heavy equipment and industrial machinery.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years of hands-on repair experience, strong knowledge of hydraulic systems, diesel engines, and equipment diagnostics, and the ability to read schematics.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on heavy equipment repair and maintenance experience.
• Strong knowledge of hydraulic systems, diesel engines, mechanical troubleshooting, and equipment diagnostics.
• Experience working on equipment such as excavators, loaders, material handlers, forklifts, or similar heavy machinery
• Ability to independently diagnose problems and determine appropriate repairs
• Ability to read schematics, diagrams, and technical manuals
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel regularly between local facilities
• Self-motivated, dependable, and safety-conscious
• Comfortable working both independently and as part of a maintenance team
• Experience with welding/fabrication, CMMS systems, scrap/recycling operations, construction equipment, or industrial machinery is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Perform hands-on diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on heavy equipment and machinery
• Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic, diesel, mechanical, air, and basic electrical systems
• Service equipment including excavators, backhoes, loaders, material handlers, skid steers, and forklifts
• Maintain and repair industrial processing equipment including shears, balers, shredders, and related machinery
• Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance to maximize equipment reliability and life
• Respond to equipment breakdowns and perform on-site field repairs to minimize downtime
• Read and interpret schematics, diagrams, and technical manuals
• Complete work orders, maintenance logs, and service documentation accurately
• Assist with parts inventory and sourcing repair components as needed
• Coordinate with maintenance leadership and other technicians across multiple locations
• Follow established safety procedures while working in active industrial environments

Location: Cincinnati / Middletown, OH – Traveling between local facilities
Compensation: $75,000–$95,000 ($35/hr - $46/hr) DOE
Schedule: Monday–Friday, Day Shift | Weekends as needed

We are partnering with an established and growing industrial organization seeking an experienced Mobile Heavy Equipment Mechanic to support multiple facilities throughout the Cincinnati/Middletown area.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced, hands-on mechanic who enjoys troubleshooting complex equipment, working independently, and having variety in their day. You'll travel between company locations performing preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on a diverse fleet of heavy equipment and industrial machinery.

What You'll Do
