Job summary

Transwest Mobile Truck Repair is expanding our Midland operation and seeks experienced Mobile Heavy Equipment & Diesel Technicians to service customers across the Permian Basin.

You will diagnose, repair, and maintain heavy‑duty diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, and electrical systems at customer sites, traveling as needed with a company service truck. This is a non‑entry level role requiring independence, diagnostic expertise, and professional communication.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of heavy equipment or diesel engine repair experience - Required
• Proven diagnostic ability on complex mechanical and electrical systems
• Able to pass pre-employment screening and any customer site requirements
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair heavy-duty diesel engines, transmissions, and electrical/multiplex systems
• Diagnose and repair hydraulic systems
• Perform suspension, steering, brake, cooling, fuel, DEF, emissions, and HVAC repairs
• Repair heavy-duty trucks, fleet vehicles, and industrial equipment
• Repair and service frac pumps, drilling equipment, oilfield support equipment, and other industrial machinery as needed
• Use OEM and aftermarket diagnostic software to find root causes — not just swap parts
• Complete preventive maintenance and accurately document all diagnostics and repairs
• Source parts and communicate requirements efficiently
• Maintain a clean, organized mobile work environment and provide excellent customer service
