Job summary

Transwest Mobile is seeking a Field Diesel Technician to perform advanced diagnostics and repairs on diesel engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems across mobile fleets in Texas. You will lead engine overhauls, complex repairs, and mentor junior technicians while communicating detailed findings to customers.

The role requires 5–10+ years of field experience, strong can-bus/ECM knowledge, and the ability to work independently in high-pressure environments, with a valid driver’s license and

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 5–10+ years of experience in heavy equipment, diesel, or hydraulic system repair.
• Expert knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems.
• Ability to supply a full set of professional tools.
• Valid driver’s license for company vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Lead advanced diagnostics and repairs on heavy-duty diesel engines, hydraulics, electrical systems (including CAN bus and ECM), and medium and light duty applications.
• Perform engine overhauls, rebuilds, and complex repairs with precision and efficiency.
• Utilize advanced diagnostic tools and service manuals to troubleshoot intricate issues.
• Operate cranes and specialized equipment to support high-level maintenance tasks.
• Mentor and train junior technicians, fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration.
• Communicate expertly with customers, providing detailed diagnostics and service recommendations.
• Maintain meticulous records of repairs and maintenance activities.
• Drive process improvements and ensure compliance with safety and performance standards.
