Job summary

Transwest Mobile is seeking an experienced Mobile Heavy-Duty Diesel Systems Technician to service fleets on the road across multiple states. You will diagnose electrical, diesel, and hydraulic systems, perform complex repairs, and maintain precise service records.

The role requires strong communication, safety focus, and the ability to work independently in a field environment. You will use diagnostic software and OEM manuals, lift 50+ pounds, and operate cranes or specialty equipment as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 5+ years hands-on experience in diesel, hydraulic, or electrical systems.
• Expertise with diagnostic software, meters, and OEM/service literature.
• Own professional field-work tools and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Tackle advanced maintenance and repairs on heavy-duty diesel engines, hydraulics, electrical systems, and related equipment.
• Diagnose root causes using OEM/service literature and diagnostic tools.
• Perform scheduled PMs and urgent breakdown repairs in the field.
• Operate cranes or other equipment as needed to access components.
• Document findings, parts used, and steps taken in service records.
• Coach junior techs and share best practices on site.

By noon, you’re in Nevada hoisting a boom with your crane to access a hydraulic fault. Tomorrow might be a farm in Texas or a construction site in California.
