Job summary

Transwest Mobile is seeking an experienced mobile technician to diagnose and repair diesel, hydraulic, and electrical systems in the field across multiple states. You’ll use diagnostic tools, OEM manuals, and meters to pinpoint root causes while keeping customers informed with clear updates.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 5+ years hands-on experience with diesel, hydraulic, or electrical systems.
• Deep familiarity with diagnostic software, meters, and OEM manuals.
• Proven troubleshooting under pressure in fast-paced field environments.
• Own toolset appropriate to field work.
• Valid driver's license and ability to drive company vehicle.
• Ability to pass background checks and lift 50+ pounds.
• ASE certifications or OEM training preferred.
• Field service/mobile repair experience valuable.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Customer-facing leadership on job sites or project oversight.

Responsibilities

• Tackle maintenance and repairs on diesel engines, hydraulics, electronics, and farm machinery in the field.
• Use diagnostic tools and manuals to locate root causes quickly.
• Handle planned service and urgent calls with safety and quality in mind.
• Operate cranes and other equipment for component removal and repair tasks.
• Document parts, labor, and findings for smooth handoffs to next job.
• Mentor entry-level techs and collaborate with the team to improve service.
