Job summary

University of Alabama at Birmingham is seeking a Program Manager-Mobile Unit to administratively manage a remote/mobile program within the School of Public Health. The role requires travel for extended periods and leads data-related activities to support the program plan.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field and three (3) years of related experience required. Work experience may substitute for education. Three (3) years of phlebotomy experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Leads and manages the ongoing development and maintenance of the program.
• Develops protocols and procedures to standardize data collection, safety monitoring and reporting.
• Manages and leads all quality assurance and data/project reporting functions of the laboratory team.
• Develops and manages timelines to ensure compliance for each project.
• Operates instruments and performs routine checks per protocols.
• Maintains reagent logs, temperature logs and biohazard shipping logs.
• Trains and supervises part-time employees and contractors.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
