Job summary

ChristianaCare seeks Medical Assistant candidates to promote access to services in Cecil County through the Mobile Integrated Health Program. You will engage patients in homes and the community, obtain vitals, and support social care needs while educating and guiding families.

Ideal applicants have 3+ years in clinical administrative roles, MA certification or completion of a Medical Office Assistant program, and strong communication skills; bilingual is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Graduates of Medical Office Assistant programs or MA certification required/preferred.
• 3+ years of progressive clinical administrative experience required.
• Public speaking, group facilitation, and strong writing skills preferred.
• Bi-lingual language skills are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Identify social, medical, and financial barriers for patients and families.
• Obtain vitals (BP, weight) and perform point-of-care A1C testing.
• Deliver health education to patients and community.
• Connect vulnerable populations with healthcare and community resources.
• Travel to patients' homes and community settings for program delivery and outreach.
• Develop health and social management plans with patients to address needs.
• Maintain professional relationships with care teams and community partners.
• Update EMR with accurate patient data and referrals as needed.
• Participate in program meetings and ongoing trainings.
