Job summary

MedStar Health is seeking a Mobile Health Center Patient Access Coordinator in Baltimore. You will safely transport the MHC vehicle, oversee maintenance, assist with patient registration, insurance verification, and financial assistance processes.

You will collaborate with families, providers, and the Mobile Health Center team to facilitate access to care. Responsibilities include clerical support, data entry, and coordinating with clinics during sessions.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent required.
• Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class B and airbrakes required.
• Hazmat preferred.
• 1–2 years driving and maintenance of a commercial vehicle.
• 1–2 years patient access services and/or patient registration preferred.
• 1–2 years customer service experience required.
• Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
• Previous healthcare experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Drives the Mobile Health Center vehicle to/from community partner sites and oversees vehicle maintenance.
• Maintains logs for vehicle mileage, inspections, and compressor hours.
• Obtains patient demographic and financial information for registration, billing and tracking.
• Confirms insurance coverage and explains financial requirements to patients and families.
• Supports with scheduling appointments and coordinating services for MHC patients.
• Participates in quality and service improvement teams and community outreach.
