Job summary

Cornerstone Family Healthcare in Newburgh, NY is seeking a Prevention Specialist to join a mobile outreach program. The role focuses on syringe support services, harm reduction education, referrals, and supportive services for people who use drugs.

The position requires an Associate’s Degree with relevant outreach experience and a valid driver's license for travel within the Mid-Hudson region. Bilingual English/Spanish is preferred. The role is full-time and based in Newburgh.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree with at least two years of PWUD/PWID outreach experience.
• Minimum of one year experience with PWUD and drug treatment services.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
• Must have a valid, unrestricted driver's license and transportation for frequent travel.

Responsibilities

• Provide mobile outreach and syringe support services.
• Deliver harm reduction education, counseling and supplies.
• Refer clients to HIV testing, PrEP/PEP, drug treatment and related services.
• Maintain client charts and data entry in line with program policies.
• Coordinate with community resources and operate mobile units.
