Job summary
Clarke Power Services, Inc. is seeking a Generator Service Technician to perform field maintenance and repair of power generation equipment.
This mobile role requires daily travel and some weekly travel, with a focus on preventive maintenance, repairs, and equipment diagnostics in customer locations. You will inspect, service, and test generator sets, fuel, cooling, and electrical systems, with opportunities for training and career growth.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma
- Generator, electrical, and diesel engine technical training
- Load Bank training or EGSA Certification a huge plus
Responsibilities
- Preventive maintenance of power generation systems in accordance with company and manufacturers' standards.
- Inspects, repairs, refurbishes or modifies power generation equipment.
- Perform failure analysis, emergency field service and/or repairs for customers.
- Service a variety of other brands of power generation equipment.
- Must be able to respond to after-hours service calls.
- Operate, drive, and maintain company service truck and parts inventory on truck.
- Check/repair all supporting systems such as fuel, cooling and electrical systems.
- Operate generator sets on load banks, check power, leaks and overall performance.
- Compile service reports and generator set test reports.
