Job summary

Torrey Holistics is seeking a Power Generation Field Technician to service, test, and repair generator systems from 2KW to 3MW in shop and field settings. You will diagnose electrical and mechanical issues, read schematics, and communicate findings clearly to customers.

The role requires hands-on diesel/gaseous engine work, ATS testing, load banking, and the ability to travel to customer sites with occasional overnight stays. Prior generator experience is essential.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in generator service or equivalent military/technical background.
• Ability to diagnose electrical and mechanical systems and read electrical/mechanical drawings.
• Strong written and verbal communication; capable of working independently with limited supervision.

Responsibilities

• Service, maintain, test, and repair generator systems from 2KW to 3MW in shop and field settings.
• Perform engine services, load banking, ATS testing, generator-end testing, and system evaluation.
• Troubleshoot diesel and gaseous fuel systems; perform both minor and major engine repairs.
• Diagnose electrical, mechanical, engine, and component issues using diagnostic tools and manuals.
• Interpret drawings, schematics, and service documentation to guide repairs.
• Source and install replacements; ensure work meets manufacturer specs.
• Install complete gensets and peripherals using supplied materials and specs.
• Travel to job sites, communicate with customers, and produce clear service reports.
