Job summary

Montgomery’s in Sioux Falls is seeking a Furniture Service Technician to work Monday–Thursday, 7:00am–5:30pm and travel to customer homes for after-purchase repairs. The role involves repairing case goods, leather, fabric, and upholstery using a variety of hand and electrical tools, with a hands-on, customer-focused approach.

The ideal candidate has a High School Diploma or GED, 2+ years’ experience with furniture repair or finish work, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years experience using hand and electrical tools to assemble furniture.
• Experience in furniture repair or finish work preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess damages and determine repair method for various furniture.
• Perform woodworking, upholstery and leather repairs, color matching and finishing.
• Travel to customer homes for after-purchase repairs.
• Install and troubleshoot window treatment installations and repairs.
