Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Certificate in Furniture repair (Technical or Trade school) preferred.
• 3–5 years furniture repair experience.
• 1–2 years customer service experience.
• 1–2 years furniture, flooring, and/or appliance, electronics experience.
• Valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record for staff who drive a service van.
• Ability to lift/push/pull required weights; backscreen required.
• Ability to work night, weekend, and/or early morning hours based on business needs.
• Pre-employment screening includes, but isn’t limited to, criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Inspect: Examine product for defects, determine the complexity of the problem.
• Repair: Remove and install covering, padding, webbing and springs; perform glass cutting.
• Operate: Run power tools and a sewing machine to fix ornamental trim, braids and buttons.
• Finish: Match colors of stain and paint to finishes.
• Perform: Complete in-home furniture repairs; make decisions while in customers' homes and operate the repair van.
• Accuracy: Track and maintain inventory and document movement of merchandise.
• Safety: Maintain housekeeping; keep hazardous chemicals labeled and stored per standards.
