Job summary

Alta Equipment Group is seeking a Forklift Field Service Technician at our Sterling Heights, MI, branch. This full-time role offers a company van, fuel card, and paid training to advance diagnostic skills.

Work Mon–Fri on first shift with hourly pay and a focus on safety, accuracy, and customer service. The position requires prior forklift repair experience, knowledge of electric/propane units, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Two years of previous forklift repair experience desired.
• Experience with electric and propane units preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules and manuals.
• Must have own tools and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance on customer forklifts and material handling equipment.
• Diagnose and repair equipment and complete repairs in a timely, professional manner.
• Provide excellent customer service and manage workloads independently.
• Maintain company vehicle and on-board parts inventory and complete required paperwork.
