Job summary

Alta Equipment Group is seeking a Forklift Field Service Technician in Livonia, MI on first shift. This full-time role includes a company van, fuel card, and comprehensive benefits.

You will perform preventative maintenance, diagnose and repair forklifts, and deliver excellent customer service while managing parts and paperwork. The position emphasizes hands-on repair work, independent workload management, and adherence to Alta’s guiding principles.

Qualifications

• Two years of forklift repair experience preferred.
• Experience in field service is highly desirable.
• Ability to diagnose and repair various material handling equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance on customer forklifts and material handling equipment.
• Diagnose and repair all forms of customer equipment.
• Complete repairs in a timely and professional manner.
• Provide exceptional customer service and manage workloads independently.
• Maintain accurate paperwork and inventory for company vehicle and parts.
