Job summary

Alta Equipment Group is seeking a full-time Forklift Field Service Technician for our Romulus, MI branch. This first-shift role (Mon–Fri) offers an hourly rate and a company van with a fuel card, plus uniforms.

You will diagnose, repair, and preventive maintain customer forklifts and related equipment, and provide outstanding service. Ideal candidates have hands-on repair experience, own tools, a clean driving record, and are comfortable working independently to manage workloads and complete

Qualifications

• Two years of forklift repair experience or equivalent field experience.
• Field service experience preferred.
• Clean driving record and valid driver's license required.
• Own tools and ability to work independently.
• Comfort with basic computer programs and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance on customer forklifts and material handling equipment.
• Diagnose and repair customer equipment.
• Complete repairs in a timely and professional manner.
• Provide exceptional customer service.
• Work and manage workload independently.
• Complete and submit required paperwork accurately.
• Manage company vehicle and on-board parts inventory.
• Incorporate Alta's Guiding Principles daily.
