Alta Equipment Group in Battle Creek, MI is hiring a Forklift Field Service Technician on first shift (Mon-Fri). Join the largest equipment dealer in North America and perform preventative maintenance, diagnose and repair forklifts and material handling equipment, and deliver excellent customer service.

You will drive a company van, have a fuel card, participate in paid training, and enjoy benefits including medical, dental, vision, 401(k) with match, paid time off, and uniforms.

Qualifications

• Two years of forklift repair experience or equivalent preferred.
• Experience with electric and liquid propane forklifts.
• Own tools and clean driving record required.
• Ability to read safety rules and manuals; write routine reports.
• Strong math and problem-solving abilities for measurements and estimations.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance on customer forklifts and material handling equipment.
• Diagnose and repair all forms of customer equipment.
• Complete repairs in a timely, efficient and professional manner.
• Provide exceptional customer service and communicate with customers effectively.
• Work and manage workloads independently.
• Proper completion and submission of required paperwork.
• Manage company vehicle and on-board parts inventory.
