Job summary

Alta Equipment Group's Material Handling Group is seeking a full-time Forklift Field Service Technician in Lansing, MI. This first-shift role (M-F) is hourly and focused on servicing customer forklifts and material handling equipment in the Lansing branch.

You will perform preventative maintenance, diagnose and repair equipment, and deliver excellent customer service while managing workload independently and maintaining proper paperwork and vehicle/parts inventory.

Qualifications

• Two years of forklift repair experience preferred.
• Own tools and valid driver’s license required.
• Experience with electric and LP forklifts.
• Ability to read safety rules and write routine reports.
• Military MOS/NEC 63B, 63H, 63S, 63W, 63Y, 91B, 91H, 91L, 91M or CM preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance on customer forklifts and other material handling equipment.
• Diagnose and repair all forms of customer equipment.
• Complete each repair job in a timely, efficient and professional manner.
• Provide exceptional customer service.
• Work and manage workloads independently.
• Proper completion and submission of all required paperwork.
• Field Technicians are responsible for company vehicle and on-board parts inventory.
• Incorporate Alta's Guiding Principles into daily activities.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Consistent, regular, and reliable attendance including being ready for work at the designated start time.
