Job summary

Alta Equipment Group in Battle Creek, MI is seeking a Forklift Field Service Technician for the first shift (Mon–Fri). You will perform preventative maintenance and diagnose/repair forklifts and related equipment at customer sites using a company van and fuel card.

Ideal candidates have forklift repair experience, own tools, a valid driver's license, and the ability to complete required paperwork; training and a robust benefits package are provided.

Qualifications

• Two years of forklift repair experience preferred, including military or reserve background.
• Experience with electric and LPG equipment; strong mechanical aptitude.
• Own tools and a clean driving record with a valid license to drive company vehicle.
• Ability to read documents, perform basic math, and report in writing.
• Familiarity with HYPASS, TKC training software and Yale/Hyster systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance on customer forklifts and material handling equipment.
• Diagnose and repair all forms of customer equipment.
• Complete repairs efficiently and maintain quality customer service.
• Work independently; manage workload and submit required paperwork.
• Maintain company vehicle and on-board parts inventory.
