Job summary

Acclaim Handling Limited is seeking a Mobile Engineer to service and repair forklift trucks at customer sites. Based from a home base but attached to a depot, the role reports to the Service Controller/Manager.

You will work with the Service Manager to diagnose electrical, mechanical and hydraulic faults, perform servicing and overhauls, and provide clear quotes while maintaining high safety standards.

Qualifications

• City and Guilds or BTEC qualification in forklift-related field.
• Desirable: Thorough Examination Qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Repair electrical, mechanical and hydraulic components on customer forklifts.
• Service LPG, diesel and electric forklifts to a high standard.
• Perform inspections and provide quotes for repairs.
• Carry out battery maintenance and surveys.
• Engineer administration: timesheets, parts requests, customer sign-off.
