Job summary

Protech Automotive Solutions is seeking an Automotive Installation Technician to install GPS, telematics, cameras, and sensors across cars, trucks, and trailers. You’ll diagnose electrical issues and perform 12V/24V wiring with a focus on safe, right-first-time installations.

Ideal candidates have hands-on automotive or fleet maintenance experience and the ability to learn new telematics tech. This on-site role offers weekly pay, benefits from day one, and opportunities for ASE/I-CAR training.

Qualifications

Hands-on automotive, electrical, or installation experience.
Knowledge of vehicle electrical systems and basic diagnostics.
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

Install and troubleshoot GPS, ELDs, telematics, dash cameras, sensors, and tracking equipment.
Work on light-duty vehicles, commercial trucks, tractors, trailers, and other fleet assets.
Perform basic 12V/24V wiring, including power, ignition, ground, diagnostic, and trailer connections.
Route and secure wiring for clean, professional installations.
Test GPS, cellular connectivity, cameras, sensors, and system functionality.
Diagnose electrical, connectivity, and installation issues.
Document completed installations with photos, device information, and service notes.
Travel to customer and fleet locations for mobile installations and projects.
Maintain a strong focus on safety, quality, and right-first-time installations.
