Job summary

Protech Automotive Solutions is seeking technicians to install and troubleshoot GPS, ELDs, telematics, dash cameras, and related equipment across light-duty and fleet vehicles. You will perform 12V/24V wiring, test systems, and travel to customer sites for mobile installations.

Qualifications

• Experience in automotive repair, electrical, fleet maintenance or vehicle upfitting.
• Knowledge of vehicle electrical systems and basic diagnostics.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
• Ability to work safely in a mobile environment.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Install and troubleshoot GPS, ELDs, telematics, dash cameras, sensors, and tracking equipment.
• Work on light-duty vehicles, commercial trucks, tractors, trailers, and other fleet assets.
• Perform basic 12V/24V wiring, including power, ignition, ground, diagnostic, and trailer connections.
• Route and secure wiring for clean, professional installations.
• Test GPS, cellular connectivity, cameras, sensors, and system functionality.
• Diagnose electrical, connectivity, and installation issues.
• Document completed installations with photos, device information, and service notes.
• Travel to customer and fleet locations for mobile installations and projects.
• Maintain a strong focus on safety, quality, and right-first-time installations.
