Job summary

Protech Automotive Solutions is seeking an Automotive Installation Technician to join our team. This hands-on role installs and supports GPS, telematics, cameras, sensors, and other fleet technology across cars, trucks, tractors, and trailers.

You will travel to customer and fleet locations for mobile installations, perform 12V/24V wiring, test systems, and document work. This position offers paid training, overtime eligibility, and opportunities for ASE/I-CAR certifications as you advance.

Qualifications

Experience in automotive, electrical, or installation roles.
Comfortable reading basic wiring diagrams and technical instructions.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work around vehicles and trailers.
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

Install and troubleshoot GPS, ELDs, telematics, dash cameras, sensors, and tracking equipment.
Work on light-duty vehicles, commercial trucks, tractors, trailers, and other fleet assets.
Perform basic 12V/24V wiring, including power, ignition, ground, diagnostic, and trailer connections.
Route and secure wiring for clean, professional installations.
Test GPS, cellular connectivity, cameras, sensors, and system functionality.
Diagnose electrical, connectivity, and installation issues.
Document completed installations with photos, device information, and service notes.
Travel to customer and fleet locations for mobile installations and projects.
Maintain a strong focus on safety, quality, and right-first-time installations.
