Job summary
Protech Automotive Solutions seeks an Automotive Installation Technician to install and support GPS, telematics, cameras, and sensors across cars, trucks, tractors, and trailers. This role suits someone with automotive, mechanical, electrical, fleet, or installation background who enjoys hands-on work and learning new technology.
You will install and test fleet tech, perform 12V/24V wiring, document installations, and travel to customer sites for mobile projects.
Qualifications
- Hands-on automotive, electrical, or installation experience.
- Knowledge of vehicle electrical systems and basic diagnostics.
- Comfortable reading basic wiring diagrams and using hand/power tools.
Responsibilities
- Install GPS, telematics, dash cameras, sensors, and tracking equipment.
- Work on light-duty vehicles, trucks, trailers, and fleet assets.
- Perform 12V/24V wiring and secure wiring for clean installations.
- Test system functionality and diagnose issues.
- Document installations with photos and service notes.
- Travel to customer and fleet locations for mobile installations.
