Job summary

Protech Automotive Solutions is seeking an Automotive Installation Technician to install and support fleet tech across vehicles and trailers. You’ll work hands-on with GPS, cameras, sensors, and related systems, building expertise in installation and troubleshooting in a mobile environment.

You’ll perform 12V/24V wiring, route wiring neatly, and test system functionality while prioritizing safety and quality. Travel to sites is required, with potential weekend hours based on project needs.

Qualifications

• Hands-on automotive, electrical, mechanical, or installation experience required.
• Comfortable working in mobile or field environments.
• Willing to travel to customer sites and work weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

• Install and troubleshoot GPS, ELDs, telematics, dash cameras, sensors, and tracking equipment.
• Work on light-duty vehicles, commercial trucks, tractors, trailers, and other fleet assets.
• Perform basic wiring tasks (12V/24V), including power, ignition, ground, and diagnostics.
• Route and secure wiring for clean, professional installations.
• Test system functionality and diagnose installation issues.
• Document installations with photos and service notes.
• Maintain safety, quality, and right-first-time installations.
• Occasionally travel to customer sites and work extended hours to support projects.
