Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking an experienced Mobile Diesel Mechanic in Dallas, TX to troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair commercial tractors and trailers. You will perform preventative maintenance, inspections, and on-site road calls, ensuring compliance with DOT safety standards.

Qualifications

Experienced mobile diesel mechanic with at least 5 years experience.
Ability to troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair commercial tractors and trailers.
Ability to inspect, troubleshoot, and repair semi-truck and trailer bodies, systems, and components.
Ability to perform preventative maintenance on fleet semi-trucks and trailers.
Ability to maintain hubs and axles and adjust or replace them when required.
Ability to inspect, service, and replace tractor and trailer parts, including tires.
Ability to check and repair brake, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
Ability to test systems and equipment for performance issues.
Ability to ensure trailers meet U.S. Department of Transportation road safety requirements.
Ability to compile inspection reports, document repairs, and report findings to management.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair customers' commercial tractors and trailers
