Job summary

J.B. Hunt Transport Services, Inc. is seeking a Mobile Technician II to perform intermediate service and repair of tractors, trailers, chassis, containers, and power equipment at customer sites or rail yards using a mobile service truck.

Responsibilities include diagnostics, tire/brake/ABS work, and mid-level welding. The role offers opportunities for mentorship, varied shifts, and potential eligibility for bonuses based on profitability or volumes.

Qualifications

• 18–21 years required depending on equipment weight and 2 years of maintenance/repair experience or equivalent combination
• Clean motor vehicle record per company guidelines
• Own basic tools or participate in toolbox program
• Willingness to work outdoors and across multiple shifts

Responsibilities

• Perform intermediate maintenance and repairs on tractors, trailers, and wheels
• Troubleshoot ABS and electrical systems and operate mobile service truck
• Document work orders and damages; ensure safety standards onsite
• Mentor tractor technician trainees and assist with onboarding
• Complete inspections and mid-level repairs using cutting torch and welding equipment
• Patch panels and perform annual inspections under supervision
