Job summary

J.B. Hunt Transport, Inc. seeks a Mobile Technician II to perform intermediate maintenance and repair on tractors, trailers, and power equipment at customer sites or rail yards using a mobile service truck.

Work is outside the shop with routine supervision. The role requires handling equipment safely, completing documentation, and mentoring newer technicians to support career growth within the company.

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ years old for light equipment or 21+ for heavier equipment with 2 years of maintenance/repair experience.
• Possess a clean motor vehicle record per company guidelines and own basic tools or participate in toolbox program.
• Willingness to work outdoors and across multiple shifts, including nights/weekends if needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform intermediate preventive maintenance and repairs on tractors and trailers (tires, brakes, electrical, structural).
• Troubleshoot ABS systems and operate mobile service truck safely.
• Complete work orders accurately and document damages for cost estimation.
• Assist with onboarding and mentoring of trainee technicians.
