Job summary

CBRE Global Workplace Solutions in Tallahassee is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support service calls for retail stores, performing repairs and preventive maintenance on RTUs and split systems, and handling electrical, plumbing, carpentry, drywall, flooring, and more. A company vehicle, gas card, tools, iPad and iPhone are provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with 2+ years related experience or trade school training.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to operate a full‑size van/truck.
• Universal CFC or EPA certification required.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; proficient with PC/PDA for work orders.

Responsibilities

• Performs day-to-day repairs, emergency and preventive maintenance; documents tasks.
• Reviews work orders; estimates time and materials; orders supplies; uses CMMS to track work.
• Leads troubleshooting and repairs of HVAC, plumbing, roofs, drains.
• Inspects new installations for code compliance and safety.
• Inspects building systems (fire alarms, HVAC/R, plumbing) to ensure operation within design specs.
• Oversees and inspects work by outside contractors.
• Maintains lighting system; performs furniture assembly as needed.
• Responds to emergencies and reports daily activity via PDA.
