Job summary

Martin Marietta's Medford Quarry in New Windsor, Maryland, is seeking an Equipment Operator to safely operate front-end loaders and a range of heavy equipment used in the quarry.

You will perform pre- and post-shift inspections, maintain safe work areas, support preventative maintenance, and assist training as needed.

The role involves a daytime schedule with potential weekend work and a base pay in the stated range, plus comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

High School Diploma, GED or equivalent experience to perform the responsibilities associated with this position.
Experience in the maintenance and operation of mobile equipment, construction equipment and/or equipment used processing plants.
Experience in operation and maintenance of off-road vehicles and heavy equipment (preferred).

Responsibilities

Operate a variety of off-road vehicles and heavy equipment within company guidelines and safety standards.
Perform pre- and post-shift inspections and report needed repairs to the supervisor.
Maintain safe traffic flow around conveyors, surge piles and crushers.
Perform daily preventative maintenance – tire pressure, oil, grease, diesel fuel, hoses for leaks and all moving parts for proper function.
Aiding in the training of co-workers as needed.
Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
