Job summary

Gerdau in Fargo, North Dakota is hiring a Mobile Equipment Operator I to operate mobile and magnet cranes, move scrap materials, and support yard operations. The role emphasizes safety, teamwork, and efficient material handling in a busy industrial setting.

You will participate in equipment inspections and preventive maintenance while collaborating with truck and railcar movements to keep operations productive and compliant with company safety standards.

Qualifications

Safety-driven operator with hands‑on experience running mobile cranes, magnet cranes, and shears to process and move scrap materials efficiently. Supporting daily yard operations by loading and unloading trucks and railcars, preparing scrap to spec, and maintaining equipment through inspections and preventive maintenance. Must have strong teamwork, problem‑solving, and a commitment to Gerdau’s safety, environmental, and core values.
