Mobile Equipment Operator 1 (Finance)
This role operates a knuckleboom, wheel loader, or front-end loader by performing the following duties. The ideal candidate will have experience operating heavy equipment such as loaders, backhoes, bulldozers, and other heavy industrial equipment.
Principal Responsibilities:
- Load, unload, sort, and transport material while following quality, environmental, safety, and production expectations.
- Accurately move material to and from processing equipment, railroad cars, trucks, treating trams, storage bins, and other areas as required.
- Operate levers and pedals to drive trucks and control the movement of lifting apparatus.
- Position forks, lifting platforms, or other devices under, over, or around loads and transport them to designated areas.
- Unload and stack materials by raising and lowering lifting devices.
- Participate in and understand the importance of consistent bin/sku management principles.
- Follow FIFO (First-In, First-Out) inventory management expectations.
- Participate in physical inventories when applicable.
- Assist in moving treatment charges for storage, loading, and unloading.
- Assist in maintenance and service of mobile equipment, including inspections, fueling, safety, and cleaning.
- Train peers in equipment operation.
- Document and report mechanical operation and maintenance needs of equipment.
- Contribute to the company safety program.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Experience operating mobile heavy equipment, preferably in wood products. Must have front-end loader or tractor experience.
- PIE certification.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Good eye/hand coordination.
- Ability to follow simple one or two-step instructions using common sense.
