About Whitten Regional Center:

Whitten Regional Center is a residential facility of the South Carolina Department of Disabilities and Special Needs, located in Clinton, SC, serving residents with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Position Responsibilities:

1. Providing daily supervision of the transportation staff, including radio dispatch and other communication methods. May occasionally operate motor vehicles for Whitten Center.
2. Supervising the day-to-day operations of the Transportation Department, working closely with Direct Support Managers, nursing staff, and exercising sound judgment.
3. Working independently with limited supervision.
4. Ensuring transportation schedules for consumers on and off campus are followed.
5. Coordinating vehicle assignments for trips, including liaising with SC Fleet Management for vehicle servicing.
6. Performing related duties such as cleaning vehicles and assisting other departments.
