Job summary

Luck Stone's Mount Airy Plant is seeking a Site Mobile Mechanic to keep our mobile equipment running at peak efficiency. You will work within extraction, crushing, and conveying operations, applying preventive maintenance and hands-on expertise to safeguard safety and quality.

Requirements include at least 1 year of mobile equipment experience, a High School Diploma or GED, and the ability to work in dusty conditions and varied weather. Schedule: onsite, Mon-Fri, 6:00 AM–5:00 PM.

Qualifications

• Fundamental knowledge of hydraulic, electrical, and powertrain systems.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience troubleshooting mobile equipment.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Comfortable working in dusty conditions and in all weather.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance on mobile equipment following SOP schedules.
• Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic, electrical, and powertrain systems.
• Diagnose and resolve reactive maintenance issues as they arise.
• Service and replace wear items, including ground engagement tools.
• Work on transmissions, engines, differentials, final drives, and brakes.
• Manage parts and inventory to keep repairs moving efficiently.
• Log maintenance data in computer systems and track equipment history.
• Keep accurate equipment records to support planning.
• Keep shop and work areas clean and organized at shift end.
