Heidelberg Materials North America is seeking a maintenance technician to inspect, diagnose, and repair mobile equipment used in quarry operations. You will perform preventive maintenance, respond to breakdowns, and ensure accurate records to support safety and productivity.

The role requires independent work and teamwork in a fast-paced environment, with a strong focus on hydraulic, electrical, mechanical, and diesel systems, aligned with company safety standards.

Qualifications

What You'll Be Doing

• Inspect, diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair mobile equipment used in quarry and aggregate operations.
• Perform preventive maintenance on haul trucks, loaders, excavators, dozers, and other heavy equipment to maximize reliability.
• Respond to equipment breakdowns and efficiently return machinery to safe operating condition.
• Complete maintenance records, work orders, and equipment inspections accurately and on time.
• Support safe work practices and collaborate with operations teams to maintain productivity and equipment performance.

What Are We Looking For

• Demonstrated ability to diagnose and repair hydraulic, electrical, mechanical, and diesel-powered mobile equipment systems.
• Strong troubleshooting skills with the capability to identify root causes and implement effective repairs.
• Knowledge of preventive maintenance practices and equipment inspection procedures.
• Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to established policies, procedures, and regulations.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced quarry environment.

Conditions of Employment

• Successful candidate must submit to post-offer pre-employment physical examination, drug/alcohol screen, and background check.
• Some positions require FMCSA regulated ongoing drug and alcohol testing.

Work Environment

• Role operates primarily in environments where the conditions include moving mechanical equipment, inclement weather, heat, cold, humidity, and elevated noise level.
