Job summary

DAT Freight & Analytics is seeking a Mobile Engineering Manager to lead the mobile platform powering our freight economy. You will blend technical leadership with people management, driving strategy and operational excellence across a remote-capable mobile team.

You will partner with Product, UX and Data Science to translate logistics workflows into intuitive experiences, champion CI/CD, and mentor engineers to grow their careers in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of combined experience in Software Engineering. At least 3 years as a technical people manager.
• Experience managing a mobile team.
• Experience working with Geo distributed teams.
• Proven ability to mentor and lead technical projects with high ambiguity.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.

Responsibilities

• Deliver Customer Value at Speed: Orchestrate the end-to-end delivery of high-impact features with Product Managers and Designers.
• Ensure Operational Reliability: Champion best practices, including rigorous code reviews, automated testing, and CI/CD pipelines for high availability.
• Act with Integrity and Ownership: Serve as a technical stakeholder who unblocks the team and resolves production issues.
• Build and Mentor a World-Class Team: Hire, coach, and retain engineering talent fostering autonomy and growth.
• Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams including product, DevOps, UX, and data scientists.
