Job summary

Hatch is seeking a Mobile Engineering Director to own mobile engineering across four product teams (Adult, Kids, Foundations, Growth). You’ll lead mobile managers, set architecture direction, and ensure coordinated delivery with Product and Design partners.

Remote-friendly, PST/PDT hours, US/Canada applicants welcome. You will drive hiring, governance, and capacity planning, while aligning AI strategy and operational excellence across the mobile org.

Qualifications

• Senior experience leading mobile teams and managers.
• Proven track record setting technical direction and governance.
• Able to delegate while owning overall accountability.
• Strong cross-functional communication with Product/Design/Exec.
• Experience building hiring pipelines and engineering leaders.

Responsibilities

• Own resourcing, escalation, and overall mobile delivery direction.
• Own cross-platform iOS/Android strategy and delivery across teams.
• Oversee software quality with QA partnerships.
• Shape architecture governance and ADR processes.
• Lead hiring decisions for mobile roles and roadmap planning.
• Build a productive product-engineering culture with partners.
