Job summary

Stellantis in Michigan is seeking a skilled Mobile Engine Test Stand 1st shift Mechanic to support Dyno Operations with test properties. This hands-on role involves propulsion systems including internal combustion engines, full powertrains, and electric drive motors.

The position requires installing engines and drives on dyno test carts, basic welding and fabrication, and maintaining engine instrumentation and exhaust components.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• 1 year welding and metal fabrication experience required.
• Experience with MIG/TIG welding and metal fabrication required.
• Ability to read basic prints (1 year experience).
• Familiarity with engine and exhaust system instrumentation (1 year).

Responsibilities

• Install internal combustion engines, full powertrains, and electric drive motors onto dyno test carts.
• Remove and reassemble external engine components as needed.
• Assist with catalyst aging procedures and dyno cell exhaust system development.
• Perform basic welding and fabrication.
• Support setup and maintenance of engine instrumentation and exhaust components.
