Job summary

Stellantis Financial Services is seeking a skilled Mobile Engine Test Stand Mechanic for the 1st shift to support dyno operations on a range of propulsion systems, including internal combustion engines, full powertrains, and electric drive motors.

The role involves hands-on setup, maintenance, welding, and instrumentation work within a manufacturing environment, ensuring precise testing and reliability of propulsion components.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• At least 1 year experience with welding and metal fabrication.
• Experience with MIG and TIG welding.
• Ability to read basic prints.
• Familiarity with engine and exhaust instrumentation.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Install engines, powertrains, and electric motors onto dyno test carts.
• Remove and reassemble engine components as needed.
• Assist with catalyst aging procedures and dyno cell exhaust system development.
• Perform basic welding and fabrication.

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Mobile Engine Test Stand 1stshift Mechanic to support Dyno Operations with test properties. This role involves hands‑on work with a variety of Propulsion Systems including internal combustion engines, full powertrains, and electric drive motors.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install internal combustion engines, full powertrains, and electric drive motors onto dyno test carts.
• Remove and reassemble external engine components as needed.
• Assist with catalyst aging procedures and dyno cell exhaust system development.
• Perform basic welding and fabrication.
• Support setup and maintenance of engine instrumentation and exhaust components.

Basic Qualifications:

• High School Diploma
• Minimum of 1 year experience with welding and metal fabrication
• Experience with welding MIG / TIG, and metal fabrication -Minimum 1 year of experience
• Ability to read basic prints - Minimum 1 year of experience
• Familiarity with engine and exhaust system instrumentation -Minimum 1 year of experience
• Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with welding MIG / TIG, and metal fabrication - 3 years of experience.
• Ability to read basic prints - 3 years of experience
• Familiarity with engine and exhaust system instrumentation - 3 years of experience
• State or SAE certifications a plus.
