Job summary

Stellantis in Auburn Hills, MI is seeking a Mobile Engine Test Stand Mechanic for first shift to install engines, full powertrains and electric drive motors onto dyno test carts, and support instrumentation and exhaust components.

You will perform welding and fabrication, remove and reassemble components, and assist with catalyst aging procedures in a hands-on, detail‑driven role requiring basic prints literacy and strong mechanical aptitude.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma is required.
• Minimum 1 year experience with welding and metal fabrication.
• Experience with MIG/TIG welding and metal fabrication for at least 1 year.
• Ability to read basic prints with at least 1 year of related experience.
• Familiarity with engine and exhaust system instrumentation.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Mobile Engine Test Stand 1stshift Mechanic to support Dyno Operations with test properties. This role involves hands‑on work with a variety of Propulsion Systems including internal combustion engines, full powertrains, and electric drive motors.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install internal combustion engines, full powertrains, and electric drive motors onto dyno test carts.
• Remove and reassemble external engine components as needed.
• Assist with catalyst aging procedures and dyno cell exhaust system development.
• Perform basic welding and fabrication.
• Support setup and maintenance of engine instrumentation and exhaust components.

Basic Qualifications:

• High School Diploma
• Minimum of 1 year experience with welding and metal fabrication
• Experience with welding MIG / TIG, and metal fabrication -Minimum 1 year of experience
• Ability to read basic prints - Minimum 1 year of experience
• Familiarity with engine and exhaust system instrumentation -Minimum 1 year of experience

Preferred Qualifications:
