Job summary

Stellantis in Auburn, AL is seeking a skilled Mobile Engine Test Stand 1st shift Mechanic to support Dyno Operations with test properties. The role involves hands-on work with propulsion systems including internal combustion engines, full powertrains, and electric drive motors.

The technician will install engines and powertrains on dyno test carts, remove and reassemble components, assist with catalyst aging procedures, and help with exhaust system development and instrumentation setup.

Qualifications

High School Diploma.
Minimum 1 year experience with welding and metal fabrication.
Experience with welding MIG / TIG, and metal fabrication - Minimum 1 year of experience.
Ability to read basic prints - Minimum 1 year of experience.
Familiarity with engine and exhaust system instrumentation -Minimum 1 year of experience.
Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

Install internal combustion engines, full powertrains, and electric drive motors onto dyno test carts.
Remove and reassemble external engine components as needed.
Assist with catalyst aging procedures and dyno cell exhaust system development.
Perform basic welding and fabrication.
Support setup and maintenance of engine instrumentation and exhaust components.
