Advocate Health in Charlotte, NC is seeking a Transport Paramedic who cares for ill and injured patients while ensuring safety and efficiency under Medical Control. You will maintain vehicle readiness and document patient care for medical records.

The role includes medications administration and adherence to policy. The position requires EMT-Paramedic training, NC EMT-P and National Registry credentials, strong communication, and the ability to work under pressure.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or GED required.
• Successful completion of an accredited EMT-Paramedic training program required.
• Current SC EMT-P certification required.
• NC EMT-P and National Registry Paramedic certifications preferred at time of hire; NC EMT-P and National Registry Paramedic required within 90 days of hire and kept throughout employment.
• BCLS and ACLS required.
• PALS, S.T.A.B.L.E. and NRP preferred; trauma certification required within 6 months.
• Atrium Health driving course within 90 days of hire and maintained.
• One-year active field pre-hospital experience required; three years preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and insurability for Mobile Medicine vehicles; at least 2 years driving history.
• Operational smartphone for communication related to Mobile Medicine operations.

Responsabilités

• Completes skills check in a timely manner with accuracy.
• Maintains clean environment to include base and vehicles, restock and clean at shift start and as needed.
• Provides accurate, legible documentation of patient care reflected in the medical record.
• Delivers quality patient care and education per policies and state regulations.
• Administers medications and IV solutions safely and per policy.
• Follows guidelines independently when Medical Control is unavailable.
• Assists with public relations and marketing activities when needed.
• Follows safety guidelines; ensures seat belts worn by crew and passengers.
• Adheres to vehicle assignments and remains flexible with changes in posted schedules.
• Drives in accordance with Atrium Health policy and local/state regulations.
