Job summary

Rush Truck Centers in Las Cruces, NM is seeking a Mobile Diesel Mechanic to service client fleets on-site and at client locations. You will perform preventative maintenance, diagnostics and repairs, and ensure high-quality customer service.

The role requires driving to customer sites, documentation, and adherence to safety standards. The position focuses on hands-on diesel truck repair, parts replacement, and on-site service calls, with opportunities for training and career growth within Rush

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 9 years' experience as a Class 7 & 8 technician in a dealership or related truck service facility.
• Current CDL and Medical card as required by FMVSS.

Responsibilities

• Maintain all aspects of equipment according to company standards.
• Handle basic maintenance of the truck including fueling, oil checks, cleanliness, and inspections.
• Manage inventory control on the service truck and keep vehicle stocked.
• Report to the Service Manager and perform daily assigned duties.
• Be available for after-hours service calls and flexible schedule.
• Operate and inventory tools for diesel truck maintenance.
• Read job orders, diagnose vehicle issues, and plan procedures.
• Use diagnostic equipment to identify malfunctions and perform repairs.
• Replace injectors, pistons, liners, cam shafts, bearings, oil pans, etc.
• Document work in the company computer system and safety checks.
