Job summary

Cox Fleet by Cox Automotive in Newnan, GA is seeking a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II to perform licensed DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, and light repairs in a mobile/field setting. You will diagnose, adjust, and repair truck equipment, including electrical and mechanical systems, while maintaining parts inventory and ensuring safe operation.

The role requires 3+ years in a related field (or 5 years), HS diploma or GED, and ASE certifications within 18 months.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED and 3 years’ related field experience, or 5 years’ related field experience.
• Must supply a set of hand tools required to perform job duties.
• ASE T8 (PMI) certification within 18 months and DOT pre-employment screenings.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PMs, DOT inspections and follow-up repairs in mobile/field settings.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, hydraulic, braking and engine systems on trucks.
• Inspect, test and road-test vehicles to verify proper operation.
• Manage parts inventory and document RO findings using TRAIT app on iOS device.
• Communicate with management to obtain approvals and purchase orders; ensure safety compliance.
