Job description

Mobile Diesel Technician II $5000 New Hire Bonus

Join Fleet Services by Cox Automotive as a Mobile Diesel Technician II and receive a $5000 New Hire Bonus.

This role involves performing licensed DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, light repairs, and diagnostics on trucks and trailers. The Technician II will handle more complex diagnostics and repairs under supervision and continue developing advanced mechanical skills.

Responsibilities

1. Perform scheduled maintenance, DOT inspections, and follow-up repairs on various vehicles in a mobile environment.
2. Diagnose and repair electrical, brake, cooling, engine, transmission, and other systems.
3. Test and inspect equipment, road test vehicles, and manage parts inventory.
4. Document work using company devices and maintain safety standards.

Minimum Requirements

1. High School Diploma/GED plus 3 years’ related experience or equivalent combination.
2. Possession of necessary hand tools.
3. Obtain ASE T8 (PMI) certification within 18 months.
4. Valid DOT medical card or ability to obtain one.
5. Valid driver’s license with a clean 3-year MVR review.
6. At least 21 years old due to interstate regulations.

Preferred Certifications

• ASE T3, T4, T5, T6, T7, and 608/609 certifications.
