We are currently hiring a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II. The role involves performing DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, light repairs, and other duties as assigned. The Technician I can perform more advanced repairs under supervision and assists with repairs while learning additional skills. Work is frequently audited for quality. A successful Technician complies with all policies and meets performance metrics.

DUTIES:

• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance, DOT inspections, and follow-up repairs on vehicles in a mobile environment.
• Perform minor adjustments and repairs on various truck equipment, including electrical, brake, cooling systems, engines, transmissions, and more.
• Manage parts inventory and equipment on company-issued service trucks.
• Maintain and operate company vehicle, conduct safety checks, and inspections.
• Communicate effectively with clients and team members, assess needs, and resolve issues.
• Prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently.
• Use hand tools, diesel tools, welding equipment, lifts, and jacks.
• Document work performed, parts used, and findings using company devices and applications.
• Complete DOT forms and other documentation promptly.
• Work independently, manage schedule, and maintain productivity.
• Obtain parts from vendors as needed.
• Communicate with management regarding repairs and approvals.
• Follow safety, health, environmental policies, and federal regulations, including OSHA, EPA, and DOT.
• Maintain service truck and conduct safety checks and inspections.

REQUIREMENTS:

• High School Diploma/GED and up to 2 years' related experience.
• Possess and supply essential hand tools.
• Obtain ASE T8 (PMI) certification within 18 months.
• Pass a DOT-regulated background screening and physical.
• Have a valid DOT medical card or be able to obtain one.
• Must be at least 21 years old due to interstate regulations.
• Valid driver’s license and safe driving record.

Certifications:

• Required: ASE T8 (PMI) within 18 months.
• Preferred: ASE T4 (Brakes).

Hourly pay: $28.70 - $43.03, with potential additional compensation.
